The Young Mizo Association has said the Bru refugees who refused to come back to Mizoram should not be allowed to cast their votes outside the state.

YMA president Van Lalruata said the Election Commission has reiterated several times that the Brus’ should cast their votes only in Mizoram and the same should be followed.

Earlier, only 40 Bru families relocated to Mizoram following the repatriation process while over 5000 families are still in camps in Tripura.
