With the increase in rainfall on higher parts of the region, there is a significant rise in the water level of Brahmaputra river.

Flood warning has been issued by Central Water Commission due to rising water level in lower parts of Assam.

With monsoon fast approaching, Prime Minister Narendra Modi while interacting with Assam BJP MLA from Bokajan Constituency, Numal Momin took stock of the rising water level of river Brahmaputra.

Prime Minister Modi while interacting with the Assam MLA through the NaMo App said that he came across several reports of rising water levels of major rivers and tributaries of the State, when he was on his recent 5-nation foreign tour.
