Border Talks: Assam delegation to hold meeting with Mizoram HM Lalchamliana

A delegation of the Assam government led by border affairs minister Atul Bora will be on a 2-day visit to Mizoram to deliberate on this key issue.
Assam and Mizoram governments will be holding a crucial meeting to find an amicable solution to the inter-state border issue.
The all-important meeting is set to be held on August 9. A delegation of the Assam government led by border affairs minister Atul Bora will be on a 2-day visit to Mizoram to deliberate on this key issue.
The Mizoram government delegation meanwhile will be led by home minister Lalchamliana.
This would be the second time that the Assam border protection and development minister is holding talks with the Mizoram home minister on the issue of a border dispute between the two neighboring states.
Meanwhile, speaking to Northeast Live, Assam cabinet minister Ashok Singhal in Silchar expressed hope that under the able leadership of Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma the border issue will be resolved in an amicable manner.
