Abandoned suitcase triggers panic in Shillong. Bomb squad swings into action

An abandoned suitcase found at Polo in Shillong triggered a bomb scare this evening. Suspecting to it to be a package of explosive alert locals informed the police about the matter.

The bomb squad of the Meghalaya Police took no time to swing into action and cordoned off the area soon.

However, after examining the suitcase no bomb or any other explosive was found in the suitcase. This has been confirmed by Additional SP Bomb squad H Wahlang.
