Several Bodo organisations including the All Bodo Students union, National democratic front of Bodoland (progressive) and the People’s Joint Action Committee for Bodoland have intensified their demand for a separate Bodoland.

In support of their demands the Bodo groups staged a blockade on NH 15 in Rowta at Udalguri district in Assam.

The Bodo groups are quite unhappy over the Centre and the state government’s adherence in addressing the Bodoland statehood demand.
