JP Nadda, national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who is in Manipur for a two-day visit ahead of the 2022 Assembly elections in the state, has began the party’s high-profile campaign today.
The BJP national president participated in the National Constitution day celebrations along with the state Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, BJP National Spokesperson Sambit Patra, BJP Manipur Unit president Sharda Devi and other BJP leaders.
Nadda also attended a meeting with sports personalities of the state at the hotel Classic Grande in Imphal.
He is also scheduled to attend the “Go to Village 2.0” at Bishnupur district and to address a mega rally at Khongjom ground near Khongjom War Memorial in Thoubal district.
Moreover, Nadda will also review the poll-preparedness in the state.
Legislative Assembly elections will be held in Manipur in March 2022 to elect 60 members of the Manipur Legislative Assembly.
The tenure of Manipur Legislative Assembly is scheduled to end on 19 March 2022.
