BJP national president Amit Shah will be visiting Assam on May 20. Shah after his arrival in Guwahati will take part in a meeting of the Chief Ministers and deputy chief ministers of the BJP ruled states.

The BJP national president’s visit comes ahead of the impending 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The BJP has stepped up activities in twenty five thousand eight hundred forty nine booths under 303 mandals in the entire state.

The party is also mulling to appoint 3.33 lakh ‘Pristhopromukh’ for strengthening the party base. The state executive meeting of the BJP will be held in Nalbari district of Assam with a two program beginning on May 18.
