The BJP Central leadership has released its first list of candidates for the Rajya Sabha polls.
The BJP has decided to field Bhubaneswar Kalita as its candidate for the first seat from Assam.
Bhubaneswar Kalita was a former Rajya Sabha MP from the Congress. Kalita joined the BJP last year.
