Bihar girl studying in Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology commits suicide by jumping from 7th floor of her hostel

A girl from Bihar studying at the Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology in Majitar has committed suicide by jumping from the balcony of the 7th floor of her hostel within the institute campus, police said today.
The incident occurred around 11.30 pm yesterday.
No suicide note was found in her room.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is currently underway and the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, said Neeraj Khatiwada, Station House Officer of the Rangpo Police Station.
She was a 4th-year B.Tech Computer Science student at the institute.
