Big day for Assam, 5 from the state crack UPSC (Mains) 2023

This achievement is not only a personal milestone for the successful candidates but also a proud moment for Assam

A happy and momentous day for Assam. As many as 5 candidates from the state have cleared the prestigious Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination 2023. Last year, 6 candidates from the state cleared the examination.

The five candidates from Assam who have made it to the highly coveted civil services are– Kalul Hazarika, Bhaswata Saikia, Ishwari Deka, Ricky Lohkar Pradhan and Abhijan Hazarika.

Abhijan Hazarika has occupied the 172nd position among the 1,016 candidates from across India who had cleared the exams.

Ricky Lohkar Pradhan has secured the 230th position, Ishwari Deka has occupied the 320th position, Bhaswata Saikia has secured the 552nd position and Kalul Hazarika has occupied the 992nd position.

This achievement is not only a personal milestone for the successful candidates but also a proud moment for Assam.

Meanwhile, Aditya Srivastava has secured the first position in the civil services examination, 2023. Animesh Pradhan secured the second rank and Donuru Ananya Reddy stood third.

A total of 1016 candidates (664 men and 352 women) have been recommended by the Commission for appointment to various services. Among the final qualified candidates, the top five comprise three men and two women candidates.

The results of the UPSC Civil Services (Mains) Examination 2022 were released today.

Last year, Assam’s Mayur Hazarika, a doctor by profession, occupied the 5th position among the 933 candidates from across India who had cleared the exams.
