Employees of the Manipur Legislative Assembly led by the Speaker staged a sit-in-protest condemning the grenade attack inside the capital complex on Friday evening.
As many as three Border Security Force (BSF) personnel’s were injured in the attack and are currently undergoing treatment at RIMS in Imphal.
The protesters are calling for an end to such attacks in the Manipur capital.
Earlier, on Friday tension prevailed in Imphal after a hand grenade was hurled inside the capital complex.
The Manipur Legislative Assembly is inside the Capital Complex premises where the hand grenade was hurled by motorcycle borne miscreants.
The capital complex is manned by personnel of the 54 battalion of the BSF. The grenade was hurled near Gate No 2 of the heavily guarded complex.
