The fresh cases were detected out of 40,102 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, of which, 562 cases were reported from Kamrup (M), 167 from Jorhat, 165 from Cachar, 139 from Dibrugarh and 135 from Hailakandi.
Taking to Twitter Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed, “Alert ~ 2560 #COVID cases detected today out of 40102 tests done in last 24 hours. Positivity Rate- 6.38% Kamrup M- 562, Jorhat-167, Cachar- 165, Dibrugarh- 139, Hailakandi- 135.”
(Total cases: 1,01,367, Recovered: 79,307, Active cases: 21,771, Deaths: 286)
On Friday, 1,763 patients were discharged from different hospitals and Covid care centres in Assam. The total active cases stands at 20,008.
Meanwhile, the death toll in the state reached 286 with eight more persons succumbing to the virus.
So far, 1,01367 cases have been reported in Assam. There are 20,008 active cases in the state. On the other hand, with eight new deaths, the death toll reached 286 on Friday.
