Assam: Tezpur University lecturer in hospital after alleged suicide attempt

In a shocking incident, a lecturer of the Tezpur University allegedly tried to commit suicide on Tuesday night.

As per inputs, a lecturer of the varsity’s Electronics and Communications Department tried to take his own life at a rented house in Napaam village in Tezpur.

The lecturer, who hails from Biswanath, has been admitted to Tezpur Medical College in critical condition.
The reason behind her trying to take the extreme step is not known yet.
Further details awaited.

Last week, a higher secondary first year student of Cotton University, Guwahati, was seriously injured after she allegedly tried to commit suicide by jumping from the second floor of the MCB administrative building of the university.
