Assam police arrest 7 accused for duping people in name of jobs

The police, in the meantime, have seized three cars and one bike. Notably, the arrest was made in the Hengerabari area of Guwahati.

At a time when the arrest of coaching institute owner Victor Das is already grabbing headlines, the police, in the latest breakthrough, have arrested at least seven middlemen for allegedly duping people in the name of government jobs.

Out of the seven, three are being grilled rigorously. The three have been identified as Jayanta Das of Goalpara, Sirajul Haq of Mangaldoi, and Pranjal Barman of Nalbari.

It may also be mentioned here that three others are reportedly absconding, and the police have been on a hunt to nab the culprits.
