Officer-in-charge of the Ghagrapar Police Station in Nalbari lost his life in a tragic road accident in Guwahati’s Lalmati area after a speeding Swift car ran over his scooter yesterday night.
The deceased has been identified as Birinchi Kumar Das.

Following the accident, the driver fled the scene, abandoning the mangled vehicle. Preliminary investigations suggest that Das was attempting to cross the national highway when the accident occurred.
