Assam: Man found dead with slit throat in Tezpur

A chilling case of suspected murder has come to the fore from Assam’s Tezpur, where the body of a man with his throat slit was recovered from his house this morning.

The incident has been reported from Kachari village in Tezpur.

The deceased has been identified as Subrata Dasgupta.

As per inputs, Dasgupta’s body was recovered from a locked room inside the house.

Locals have said that Dasgupta used to host a lot of parties at his house. He may have been killed by someone over a dispute during one such party in an inebriated state.

Locals informed police about the incident. An investigation into the matter is underway to find out who killed Dasgupta and the motive behind the killing.
