Assam Legislative Session to be held thrice in a year

The Assam Legislative Session will be held thrice a year from now on.

The summer session will be held in between August to September while the winter session will be held during the period from November to December.

Meanwhile,the budget session will be held from February to March. The move has been adapted according to the format followed in the Parliament.

The decision was taken by a special advisory committee of the Assam legislative assembly. And amidst this, the Opposition has demanded for holding special sessions for discussing the citizenship amendment Bill.
