Sensation prevailed at Sorbhog in Assam’s Barpeta district after Bangladesh based terror outfit Jamat-ul-Mujahideen issued death threats to Deka Sattradhikar of historic Moinbari Satra.

Health, finance and education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and BJP leader Jayanta Malla Baruah have also been issued death threats by the radical terror group.

A letter sent by one Jeherul Islam on behalf of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) threatens to kill Deka Sattradhikar Apurba Adhikary, Assam health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and Assam Tourism Development Corporation chairman Jayanta Malla Baruah.

Meanwhile, Apurba Adhikari, who is the Satradhikar of the Moinbari Satra in Barpeta district has filed an FIR in this regard.
