High explosive bombs, RPGs, two AK-47, five AK-56 assault rifles, two M-16 rifles, 9MM pistols, detonators and 20 kg of explosives as well as several hundred rounds of live ammunition were recovered during the operation.
Briefing newspersons, Guwahati Commissioner of Police Munna Prasad Gupta said that the arms consignment may belong to the National Democratic Front of Bodoland or the NDFB, which is now disbanded. Investigations are on to ascertain this.
