The Assam Government has instituted a one man inquiry into the Teok lynching case, where a senior doctor was thrashed to death by an unruly mob.
The Government has asked Commissioner and Secretary – Finance, Shyam Jagannathan to conduct an inquiry into the murder of Dr. Deben Dutta.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal had a telephonic conversation with the family of the deceased doctor.
Condemning the killing he said that strict action would be initiated against those involved.
