In a proud moment for Assam, Priyanka Das Rajkakati, an aerospace engineer in NASA hailing from Dhemaji is accompanying French president Emmanuel Macron, who is the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations in Delhi tomorrow.
Priyanka Das Rajkakati is among the high profile French delegation visiting Jaipur. The Assamese girl is standing out with her fluent French narration as she is explaining things to the French President.
Priyanka wore Mekhela Chador, the traditional Assamese attire and completed the look with the Assamese gamosa in her hand.
Born in Shimla, Priyanka grew up in Delhi and did her schooling at St. Thomas and Mother’s International School, Delhi and graduated from St Stephen’s College, Delhi. She also learned designing at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad.
In 2013, Priyanka left for France and did her Master’s from the world famous, Supero, Institute of Space and Aeronautical Engineering, Toulouse, France.
Priyanka Rajkakati is also a space artist and did algorithm painting for Moon Art Gallery which is an international collaborative artwork and a gallery of ideas worth sending to the Moon.
Priyanka is an Alumni Ambassador for the France Alumni Project and presently resides in Chile.
She has previously been featured in the Forbes India 30 Under 30 list, and India Today’s Next 100 Innovators.
