Assam: 120 members from BPF, Cong and AIUDF join UPPL in Kokrajhar

A total of 120 workers or members from various political parties including Bodoland People’s Front (BPF), Congress and AIUDF have joined the Pramod Boro-led United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) in Kokrajhar district today.
They joined the party in a ceremony held at Chandrapara residence of BTR chief Pramod Boro.
They were welcomed to the party and felicitated by Pramod Boro, BTR Execurive Member Ranjit Basumatary, Nilut swargoyary, East Kokrajhar MLA Lawrence Islary and Member of Council Legislative Assembly(MCLA) Madav chhetri.
Speaking to media, Ranjit Basumatary said, “UPPL was formed to bring sustainable development and lasting peace in the BTR region. The people of the region are now living in peace and security because of Pramod Boro’s leadership and the diligent effort of the party’s members. We are happy that the change was possible for us, and as time goes on, many people are joining and banding together to work toward the development of the region.”
