Mystery shrouds the death of a girl from Assam who was reportedly found hanging in suspicious condition at Sector 46 in Gurugram, Delhi.

As per the Aadhar card details of the victim she hailed from the Udalguri district.

The incident took place on January 14. Since no one came forward to claim the body, the Gurugram Police contacted the Northeast representative of Delhi Police Gitashri Bhuyan Narula for further action.

The Aadhar card details of the victim were given to Narula which was then forwarded to the Superintendent of police, Udalguri.

However, the family members of the victim could not be traced back in Assam.

Later post mortem was conducted and the body of the victim was cremated by the DPNER (Delhi Police Northeast Representative).

Investigation on the matter is on and police are awaiting the post mortem report for further action.
