He said, ‘All precautionary measures have been taken in case new virus strains emerge. Hospitals, doctors, ICUs are ready in every hospital. We are fully prepared to fight against COVID”.
He said that no new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the state in recent times, but one patient who came to the state from abroad was detected as COVID-19-positive. He was given full support from the state government at no charge, and he is being monitored.
He said that amid the scare of COVID-19 sub variant JN.1 in India, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Wednesday chaired a high-level meeting with all the state and union territory health ministers to discuss ways to curb the infection.

Yesterday, the country added 328 active cases and one death, which includes 265 cases from Kerala alone.
