Assam Education Dept Gearing Up For 2025 HSLC, Form Fill-Up to Begin From October 23

The Assam Education Department is taking significant measures to ensure the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2025 is conducted smoothly and without errors, addressing past issues of examination paper leakages.

To enhance security and integrity, the HSLC exam will be organized under the newly formed Assam State School Education Board, established through the merger of the Board of Secondary Education Assam and the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council in 2023.

Assam Education Minister Ronoj Pegu announced these developments, emphasizing the robust mechanisms now in place to prevent any potential loopholes.

While talking to Northeast Live, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu stated, “As Assam education department merges the two boards of Assam School Education Board, SEBA and Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, now we have Assam State School Education board, this is for the first time under the unified board HSLC examination will be held. Every year number of students increases and this year also the number will be higher hoping the board will be more efficient and smart in conducting the examination.”

Notably, the online registration for the 2025 HSLC examination begins on October 23, with key deadlines including the last date for online payment and challan generation set for November 15. Students must complete their challan payments at SBI Bank by November 18, and the deadline for online checklist corrections is November 30.
