Assam: Drunk son kills father, injures 5 others of the family in Kaliabor

A man allegedly thrashed his father to death while severely injuring 5 other family members in an inebriated state in Assam’s Kaliabor.
The incident has been reported from Anjukpani area of Kaliabor on Sunday night.
The accused has been identified as Anowar Hussain.
As per inputs, Hussain entered his home in a drunken state, and started thrashing his father with a branch of a tree, killing him on the spot.
He also attcked his wife, mother, elder brother, sister and sister-in-law injuring them greviously and tried to flee from the scene.
Locals caught him and handed over to Samaguri Police. Police has sent all the injured persons to a nearby hospital where they are undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, Police arrested accused Anowar Hussain in connection with the case. Further investigation into the case is underway.
