Hundreds of young aspirants turn up to take part in Agniveer Recruitment Rally

First, the candidates will have to go through physical fitness test. Those who clear will have to sit for a written test.
Hundreds of young aspirants turned up for the Imphal Leg of Agniveer Recruitment Rally on Tuesday morning. Brigadier Harpeet Singh DDG Rtg Zone (NE States) is on three day Imphal visit to monitor the Imphal Leg Agniveer Recruitment Rally taking place at Old Airfield Koirengei.
In the first round, the participants have to go through physical fitness test in which each of the candidate has to run for one and half kilometre. Whoever gets selected will have to sit for the written test. Brigadier Harpeet Singh who have come down from Shillong, is overall in-charge of Agniveer Recruitment Rally taking place in the North East states.
Brigadier Singh during a press briefing said, “Agniveer Scheme provides employment to young generation who always have the spirit to serve the nation. The number of vacancies is fairly keeping in mind the male-female ratio of each state”.
The recruitment of females for entire North East States it is taking place only in Odalguri, Assam.
Brigadier S J Tiwari, Commander 59 Mountain Brigade and other high ranking Army Officials attended the two-day Agniveer Recruitment Rally at Koirengei.
