Arunachal’s Mirem village declared ‘smokeless’; free LPG connections distributed to 120 BPL women

Mirem village in Arunachal Pradesh has become smokeless. After distributing free LPG connections to 120 BPL women beneficiaries under the expanded Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna.

East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tamiyo Tatak has declared the village smokeless. While addressing a gathering, Tatak informed that twenty one more villages in the district would become smokeless in days to come by making a switch from conventional fuel to LPG under this central flagship scheme.
