According to the DDMO, no casualties have been reported, and the cause of the fire has yet to be determined. Because the houses were mostly SPT structures, authorities suspect a short-circuit.

The district police allegedly requested two fire tenders, one from Namsai and one from Tezu, to extinguish the flames. However, they were unable to save 20 houses.

As per report, the district administration is assessed the accident’s losses. According to reports, the homeless victims were given immediate assistance.

Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu instructed Namsai district administration to provide all possible assistance to the affected people

“Pained by the fire incident at 2nd Miles near Police Beat Post at Namsai. The fire was brought under control by police and locals. I have instructed the Namsai district administration to provide all possible assistance to the affected people.” tweets CM Khandu
