After missing several deadlines, the construction of the highway stretch connecting Chandra Nagar and Donyi Polo in Arunachal Pradesh’s capital Itanagar, has yet again extended for three more months.

The latest development comes after the highway executing agency, TK Engineering and Consortium applied for Clause 2 of the extension work under the notification issued by the Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways.

Accordingly, the Ministry has granted extension of 3 to 6 months to TK Engineering depending on site conditions.

The highway stretch has been left unattended for years and has also missed several deadlines. The last deadline was scheduled for September this year, however due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the construction was put on hold.
