The Gauhati High Court has rejected the PIL of 43 suspended ACS-APS officers involved in the infamous APSC cash-for-job scam. In the PIL, the tainted officials pleaded for allowing them to resume their office.

All 43 suspended Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) officials will not be getting their jobs back under any circumstances. This has been revealed in a hearing at the Gauhati High Court with regards to the PIL filed by the suspended officials.

After the first day of hearing, senior Supreme Court Advocate Nalin Kohli, who is fighting the legal battle on behalf of the government, stated that all the sacked officials would not be reinstated and that both the state and centre are serious in combating corruption in the state.
