The Gauhati High Court has granted bail to 9 ACS, APS officers accused in the APSC cash-for-job scam.

The officers granted bail by the Justice Rumi Kumari Nath bench of the High Court are- Sabira Imran, Dilip Kumar Kalita, Badrul Islam, Gitali Doley, Rumi Saikia, Sunayana Handique , Dipak Khanikar, Kunal Das and Sudipta Goswami.

It may be mentioned that these officers were arrested on November 8, 2017 after their handwriting matched with fake answer scripts recovered from the APSC office by the police in 2016.

Investigations revealed that the accused officers had bribed APSC official to get selected for different posts by doctoring their answer sheets.
