Along with the rest of the Northeast, Mizoram too witnessed massive protest against the Citizenship Amendment Bill today.

The Mizo Zirlai Pawl also took to the streets in Aizawl in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Bill. The MZP staged demonstration near the Vanapa Hall in Aizawl under the banner of NESO.

The Students’ body also submitted a memorandum to Governor PS Shreedharan Pillai after the protest.

Meanwhile, the Tripura Students’ Federation also took to the streets in Agartala in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Bill under the banner of NESO. Hundreds of protesters participated in the rally taken out by the students organisation.
