Another Assam youth goes missing while travelling to another state for work

Nipen Chitrakar on December 6 left for Delhi by train and took another train from Delhi for Gujarat, however, had gone missing midway

Within three days of two youths from the same Assam district found dead in two other states, another man from the same district, Charaideo has gone missing. Nipen Chitrakar, a resident of Khanikar village in Charaideo district has gone missing on his way to Gujarat.

Nipen was travelling to Gujarat for work.

According to sources, Nipen Chitrakar left for Delhi from Simaluguri Junction on Avadh Assam Express on December 6 and after reaching Delhi he took another train to go to Gujarat. He had, however, gone missing midway.

Interestingly enough, on December 10, Nipen had called his wife and told her that this was his last call to them. Nipen was also heard crying during the phone call.

Further details are awaited.

It may be mentioned that on Friday, a youth from Charaideo identified as Nabin Saikia was reportedly thrown off from a moving train. He was travelling to Chennai in search of work when the tragic incident took place. His body was later recovered by police in Odisha.

Same day, the body of another youth from the district identified as Loknath Gogoi was recovered by police in Bihar’s Gaya. Loknath along with 6 of his friends were travelling to Andhra Pradesh by train when he went missing. He was going to Andhra Pradesh in search of work.
