It’s going to be one of India’s biggest weddings. As the Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant Pre-Wedding ceremony draws near, speculations surrounding the event continue to grow.
Three-day pre-wedding celebrations will be held at the Ambani estate in Jamnagar from March 1 to 3 this year. The couple will tie the knot in Mumbai later this year.
The pre-wedding ceremony guest list, as per reports, includes some of the biggest elites from across the World. The pre-wedding celebration will have around 1000 guests.
Among those expected to attend the function are Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Morgan Stanley CEO Ted Pick, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Ivanka Trump, Disney CEO Bob Iger, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, Adnoc CEO Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, and EL Rothschild chair Lynn Forester de Rothschild.
Others include Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, PM, Qatar; Murray Auchincloss, CEO, BP; Thomas Barrack, Chairman & Founder, Colony Capital; Carl Bildt, Former Prime Minister of Sweden; John Chambers, CEO, JC2 Ventures; John Elkann, Executive Chairman, Exor; Ari Emanuel, CEO, Endeavor; Bill Ford, Chairman & CEO, General Atlantic; Stephen Schwarzman, Founder, Blackstone Group; Brian Thomas Moynihan, Chairman, Bank of America; Carlos Slim, Investor; Jay Lee, Executive Chairman, Samsung Electronics; Raymond Dalio, Founder, Bridgewater Associates; Zhang Lei, Founder, Hillhouse Capital; Howard Marks, Co-founder, Oaktree Capital Management; James Dinan, Founder, York Capital Management; Bruce Flatt, CEO, Brookfield Asset Management; Michael Grimes, Managing Director, Morgan Stanley; Stephen Harper, Former Prime Minister of Canada; Donald Harrison, President, Google; and Richard Hilton, Chairman, Hilton & Hyland.
The guests will get a taste of India’s rich culture and heritage at the pre-wedding festivities of the couple. They will also receive traditional scarves made by women artisans from Kachchh and Lalpur in Gujarat.
On Friday, Reliance Foundation posted a video on their Instagram handle in which women from Gujarat can be seen curating Bandhani scarves for the pre-wedding functions. In the clip, one can also see Nita Ambani, founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, meeting the artisans and expressing her happiness seeing their hard work.
“Threads of Love and Heritage: A Tapestry Woven for Anant and Radhika. In a tribute to Indian heritage, the Ambani family has commissioned skilled women artisans from Kachchh & Lalpur, to weave a tapestry of dreams for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s upcoming union,” Reliance Foundation captioned the post.
“These women pour their hearts and souls into the craft, preserving age-old techniques and breathing life into stories as ancient as the land itself. Swadesh is empowering communities and preserving age-old craftsmanship,” it added.
Anant and Radhika got engaged in a traditional ceremony in January 2023 at the family’s residence Antilia in Mumbai.
