Dismayed by school education department’s response to their demand, the All Nagaland Adhoc Teachers’ Group is of the opinion that they’ve no other alternative but to peacefully protest by resuming hunger strike.

ANATG said that the state government was apprehensive to regularise their services. They further expressed shock over state government finding the verdict ‘vague’.

After the court hearing on August 3, the Teachers Group started pursuing the matter with the state government, but because of the latter’s indecisiveness, the ANATG was compelled to serve the State Government with an ultimatum on September 7.

The All Nagaland Adhoc Teachers Group had served an ultimatum on the school education department to finalize the regularization of 1166 Ad Hoc teachers on or before September 17, 2018.

It had cautioned that after the expiry of ultimatum period, the ANATG–2015 would be compelled to resume the temporarily suspended indefinite hunger strike.
