At a time when campaigning for Panchayat Elections in Assam is picking up pace, AGP leader and former Assam Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta has said that the AGP should contest the upcoming Panchayat polls in the state on its own.
He said that it would be beneficial for the AGP to contest the panchayat polls alone rather than going for a coalition with its ally BJP.
This comment from Prafulla Kumar Mahanta, one of the top AGP leaders comes at a time when both AGP and BJP are engaged in negotiation on whether to contest the polls together or alone.
