A delegation of the Asom Gana Parishad will call upon the Joint Parliamentary Committee to reiterate their opposition to the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
The meeting assumes significance since the Joint Parliamentary Committee will be holding discussions for facilitating the passage of the Citizenship bill that is facing stiff opposition in Assam.
The party will also take out a rally in protest against the Bill on 23 October.
