Both Sora and Padu have expressed their intent to pursue legal action if their concerns were not addressed by the Mr Arunachal Organization.
Trouble seem to be mounting for beauty pageant organiser Mr Arunachal Organisation. After former Miss Arunachal Tengam Celine Koyu accused the Miss Arunachal Organization of not paying Rs 10 lakh that was due to her, Mr Arunachal title holders Tumken Sora and Minjom Padu on Thursday have come forward with similar accusations against the Mr Arunachal Organization.
Tomken Sora, who held the title of Mr Arunachal from 2019 to 2021, revealed that after representing Arunachal Pradesh at the Rubaru Mr India competition, he was supposed to receive a sanctioned amount of Rs 10 lakhs from the Youth Affairs Department. This amount was to be disbursed by the Mr Arunachal organization.
Sora along with Padu, who too represented Arunachal Pradesh at the Rubaru Mr India competition, have decided to investigate whether any financial assistance had been provided to previous Mr Arunachal winners who competed on a national platform.
Sora informed that after sending an inquiry email to the Department of Youth Affairs, they discovered that their financial assistance had indeed been sanctioned—Rs 10 lakhs for Sora on January 8, 2023, and for Padu on October 4, 2023.
Both Sora and Padu have expressed their intent to pursue legal action if their concerns are not addressed by the Mr Arunachal Organization.
Earlier on August 21, Tengam Celine Koyu had accused Miss Arunachal Organisation of financial mismanagement. Tengam Celine Koyu, Miss Arunachal 2021, has publicly accused the organizers of the Kingfisher Femina Miss Arunachal pageant of financial mismanagement, claiming they failed to reimburse her Rs 10 lakhs, as promised.
Koyu revealed that despite numerous assurances and repeated attempts to contact the organizers, she is yet to receive the funds. Frustrated by the lack of response, Koyu escalated the matter to the Department of Youth Affairs. However, this move has reportedly strained her relationship with the pageant organizers.
Koyu said that other former titleholders have also encountered similar issues but have remained silent.
