The All East Siang District Students Union along with other student union of the district has gone for a 12 hour bandh from 5am to 5pm today in protest against the state government’s alleged failure in handing over the late Ojing Taying murder case to CBI from SIT.

Though the district administration had banned the bandh while directing government offices to remain open but the normal life was completely paralysed in the entire district with no untoward incidents reported.

Meanwhile, Pasighat Superintendent of police informed that the state government has announced for an award to the person who can nab the culprits of the heinous crime. He further added that till now there is no assurance from the government on the CBI intervention.
