A’chal gets new police check gate at Assam-Arunachal border

The MLA appreciated the police posted at Balemu post where there are two check gates, namely Balemu-Bhairabkunda and Balemu-Orang check gates.

MLA of Kalaktang constituency under West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh Dorjee Wangdi Kharma on Wednesday inaugurated a new police check gate on the Balemu-Bhairabkunda road at the Assam-Arunachal border.

On the occasion, the MLA appreciated the police posted at Balemu post where there are two check gates, namely Balemu-Bhairabkunda and Balemu-Orang check gates.

He urged the police to be more vigilant at the posts to check the movement of unlawful activities and check both the in-flow and out-flow of illegal trading activities.

He further appreciated the police for accomplishing successful interception and curtailing the movement of contraband under the NDPS Act.

Meanwhile, the West Kameng SP advised the Officer in charge of Balemu police station, Sub-inspector DT Kharma, and his team to work dedicatedly towards the responsibility entrusted to them.

Among others, Kalaktang ADC Anu Baming, Heads of Departments, Gaon Burahs, and members of Panchayat Raj Institution were also present on the occasion.
