Managing Director of Positude Bijay Subba informed that, there will be two auditions – one in Gangtok on 12th December and the other at Namchi on 26th December. The contestants will be groomed by experts from Miss India organizers, unlike the previous years where the pageant brought in grooming experts from neighbouring regions and from within the state.
Anisha Chettri, Operation Head of Positude informed that the state government has started extending help for organizing Miss Sikkim Beauty Pageant since last year. She also added that, compared to other Northeastern states, public support for beauty pageants in Sikkim has been disheartening, and requested Sikkimese people to come forward and support the local talents.
