#Assam | At least six elephants were rescued after they got trapped in a man-made pond in #Goalpara district of #Assam. The incident took place at #Chaibari near #Lakhipur of the district. Forest department officials said that the elephants were stuck for a long time after dipping their toes into the pond. The Goalpara Forest Division employees successfully freed the elephants by digging a passageway for them to escape.
