In a biggest single-day spike in coronavirus cases in Assam, 53 more persons have tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.

Taking to Twitter Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed, “Fifty three new #COVID19 + cases confirmed – 44 from Sarusajai Quarantine Centre, 7 from Dima Hasao district and 2 from Cachar.”

(Total cases 319, Recovered 54, Active cases 258, Deaths 04, Migrated 03)

With 258 active cases, the total COVID-19 cases count has now reached 319 in the state.
