5 Myanmar nationals apprehended with gold bars worth Rs 11 crores in Mizoram

Five Myanmar nationals were apprehended by Assam Rifles with 218 gold bars weighing 36.316 Kgs worth Rs 11 Crores. The five individuals were travelling on three motorcycles along Vaphai Saikhumpha
Five Myanmar nationals were apprehended by Assam Rifles with 218 gold bars weighing 36.316 Kgs worth Rs 11 Crores.
The five individuals were travelling on three motorcycles along Vaphai Saikhumpha Road when they were intercepted by Assam Rifles and Customs and Excise Department of
Mizoram, approximately 3.5 km from the Indo Myanmar Border.
The apprehended nationals along with the recovered gold have been handed over by Assam Rifles to Customs and Excise Department.
