The 3-day 40th Indian Geography Congress 2018 kicked off today in Arunachal Pradesh. The Congress, under the National Association Geographers of India, is being organized by the department of Geography

The 3-day 40th Indian Geography Congress 2018 kicked off today in Arunachal Pradesh.

The Congress, under the National Association Geographers of India, is being organized by the department of Geography of the Rajiv Gandhi University.

The theme of the event is ‘Climate variability, vulnerability and resource management strategies for sustainable development and geospatial technologies’.

Along with other dignitaries, Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Retired Brigadier B.D Mishra also attended the 40th Indian Geography Congress.

Over 500 delegates from India and abroad will take part in the Congress.
