Three persons were killed and eight others injured in a road mishap at Sonai constituency of Cachar district on Monday night.

The accident occurred when the rear wheel escalator of a ten-wheeled truck got loose and the vehicle turned turtle after the driver lost control of the truck and the vehicle hit a roadside bridge. The victims have been identified as Shabuddin, Asukuddin and Tajuddin.
