3 injured in fresh violence in Manipur

Combined teams of security forces including Manipur Police Commandos have rushed to the area in order to take stock of the incident.
At least three people have been injured on Thursday, in fresh reports of violence along the peripheral areas of Thoubal, Kakching and Tengnoupal Districts of Manipur that has seen violence since May 2023.
As per sources, heavy cross firing broke out between Village Volunteers along Heirok and Tengnoupal late last evening, in which two people sustained Injury.
Heavy cross firing broke out again on Friday during which another person sustained grievous injuries.
Combined teams of security forces including Manipur Police Commandos have rushed to the area in order to take stock of the incident.
In Pallel under Kakching district a sawmill was burnt down and security forces are carrying out search operation in the area. Three individuals have also been apprehended along with arms and ammunition.
