23 fresh COVID-19 cases detected in Manipur; total count 921

23 more cases of COVID-19 were detected in Manipur on Tuesday, taking the state’s total coronavirus cases to 921. All samples were confirmed positive at the Virus Research and Diagnostic

23 more cases of COVID-19 were detected in Manipur on Tuesday, taking the state’s total coronavirus cases to 921.

All samples were confirmed positive at the Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory’s of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS).

The fresh cases include 5 males and 18 females, of which 2 are from the state’s Chandel district, 1 each from Churachandpur and Kakching, 6 from Imphal West, 2 from Kangpokpi and 11 from Senapati district.

All patients are returnees to the state from other parts of the country. They have been shifted to Covid Care facilities.

Meanwhile, 8 persons were discharged from Covid Care Centre, UNACCO after they were found coronavirus-free on RT PCR tests.

The total number of recovered cases in the state now stands at 258 with 663 active cases.
