A 12 hour bandh has been called by the All Trans Arunachal Highway deprived forum in collaboration with the All Yachuli students union along with the general masses of Ziro
A 12 hour bandh has been called by the All Trans Arunachal Highway deprived forum in collaboration with the All Yachuli students union along with the general masses of Ziro II area from Bopi Anya highway gate to Potin road under lower Subansiri district.
The bandh has been called by the organizations demanding the construction of Trans-Arunachal Highway from Potin to Bopi to begin early, an early settlement of compensation package, immediately hand over of Trans Arunachal Highway scandal to CBI for speedy investigation.
The organizations informed Northeast Live that if their demands are not met immediately they will go for another phase wise bandh on 14 and 15th of August disrupting the celebration of the independence day.
Meanwhile a public transport bus from Daporijo heading towards Lakhimpur was stopped at Yazali by the protesters and asked them to move only after 5 pm.
